Measurements

I ordered and received the plans from a place in Canada.  I scratched my head a few times (hence the few hair left) about the plan I received.

First the 1:1 model plan (in other words, the one at 2"=1' ) is  not to scale, its's a bit too big

Second, even if the positions of the moulds marked on the plan are correct, the distance between the moulds written on the plan are incorrect. This threw me  away for a good period of time. Fortunately, in the documentation that comes with the plan the author mentions the dimensions are incorrect and gives the right ones.

Third, the plans are not very good quality, which makes the enlargement somewhat messy.

Since I want a 3/4 size of the original model, in other words a 1.5 inches = 1 foot model,  I had a local printer shop print a 3/4 version of the pdf file I got from that vendor, and generated a new table of offsets by measuring each station of the plan.

I also bought a great book called "how to build glued-lapstrake wooden boats" that has a ton of tips and info. And I  also purchased the book from Howard Chapelle "Boatbuilding".
