Wide A Wake first post

Yo all, So, I have always been interested in steam model marine engines. I built Alexandra, a steam launch from Krick, fitted with a Cheddar steam plant back in 2005. That blog can be found here . Now that I am retired, I sailed Alexandra a few times and the steam modeling virus came back to haunt me. I subscribed to a few steam models building blogs (in UK as this is where the real steam modelers are !), and got really impressed with two building blogs of Wide A Wake: 'WIDE A WAKE' a steam launch tale by Ramon WIDE-A-WAKE LAUNCH FOR STUART TWIN ENGINE The Wide a Wake model is a replica of a clinker built boat in Australia. The actual size was 25 feet with a 7'6" beam I never built a clinker boat before, so this could be an interesting experience. Also the overall shape and form of this steam boat are extremely elegant.
